Claire is an Autism Advisor and SEND Hub North West Associate, bringing over 20 years of experience supporting learners from EYFS to KS5 across both mainstream and specialist settings.
Her career includes a significant period working within a Special School, alongside leading outreach support in her previous setting and working closely with families in the home. As a Licensed Thrive Practitioner, Claire brings a strong relational approach, underpinned by a deep understanding of autism, trauma-informed practice, and the Thrive Vital Relational Functions - attunement, containment, regulation, and the importance of consistent, responsive relationships in supporting emotional development.
Claire brings a wealth of practical, hands-on expertise and works closely with schools to profile learners, identify needs, and implement effective enhanced provision. Through her work with SEND Hub North West, she supports mainstream settings to develop inclusive approaches with confidence, clarity, and consistency.
She is passionate about supporting schools to better understand and respond to the needs of neurodivergent learners, ensuring that provision is both meaningful and sustainable. Claire is committed to working in partnership with staff, pupils, and families to create environments where every child feels happy, safe, and heard.
